There is a new sexually transmitted superbug that experts say may be more deadly that AIDS.

According to a CNBC report, an antibiotic-resistant strain of gonorrhea is more aggressive than the HIV virus, which means the potential to infect the public will be greater.

Like most STDs, gonorrhea is usually transmitted through unprotected sexual contact and if left untreated, can cause severe medical complications, such as infertility in women, debilitating pain, sterility in men and life threatening heart infections.

Alan Christianson, a doctor of naturopathic medicine, thinks this new strain has the power to rack up more fatalities than AIDS. To date, more than the 30 million people have already died worldwide from AIDS-related complications.

“Getting gonorrhea from this strain might put someone into septic shock and death in a matter of days,” said Christianson. “This is very dangerous.”

William Smith, executive director of the National Coalition of STD Directors, echoed that sentiment. “It’s an emergency situation. As time moves on, it’s getting more hazardous,” said Smith.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, though no cases of the superbug officially called H041 were found in the US, steps must be taken to deal with the potential risks.

Gonorrhea can go undetected in some affected by the disease, showing no outward symptoms in about half of women and in 5 percent of men, which adds another level of difficulty in getting ahead of it.

This strain of STD which is resistant to antibiotic, reportedly kills half of those exposed and infects one in 20 hospital patients—which raises the threat of an outbreak to emergency levels.

Then there is the high cost of combating sexually transmitted diseases in general. The CDC’s tally to treat 20 million cases annually is approximately $16 billion. Of that 20 million STD cases, a reported 800,000 between the ages of 15 to 24, are infected with gonorrhea.

Even more alarming, some doctors believe the STD war is too costly to win.

Salah has played against Chelsea four times in the last 12 months, scoring three times, including in Basle's two Champions League Group E victories over Mourinho's men earlier this season.
Speaking on Friday, Mourinho spoke of his admiration for Salah, the potential of the player and said the Blues made their move quickly.
'I like the fact that he can play the same way our attacking players do, which is players with adaptability, to play right, left, or behind the striker," Mourinho said.
'He's young, he's fast, he's creative, he's enthusiastic. When we analysed him he looks the kind of humble personality on the pitch, ready to work for the team and to work and to adapt himself to a new life.

Alisema chama chake, kina wasiwasi na elimu
ya Waziri Mkuya, kutokana na wasifu wake
kutoonyesha vyuo alivyosoma wakati wa
kupata shahada ya kwanza na ya pili katika
masuala ya biashara.
Alisema katika tovuti ya Bunge, wasifu wa
waziri huyo umeonyesha sehemu aliyosoma
elimu ya sekondari na kuhitimu kidato cha
sita.
Alisema katika tovuti hiyo, haionyeshi chuo
alichosoma shahada ya kwanza ya biashara,
ingawa inaonyesha masomo aliyochukua
jambo ambalo linatia mashaka uhalali wake
kuongoza wizara hiyo nyeti.
“Ukiingia kwenye tovuti ya Bunge, utaona
wasifu wake kuanzia elimu ya msingi hadi
kidato cha sita na shule alizosoma, lakini
kuanzia elimu ya shahada imeonyesha
masomo aliyochukua na kupata shahada ya
kwanza ya biashara, haionyeshi vyuo, jambo
ambalo linatia mashaka,” alisema Lipumba.
Alisema nafasi aliyopewa inahitaji kiongozi
mwenye upeo wa hali ya juu, kuweza
kupambanua mambo yanayohusu uchumi wa
nchi kwa kushirikiana na taasisi mbalimbali za
kifedha za ndani na nje ya nchi.
“Napata wasiwasi kama Rais Jakaya Kikwete,
aliangalia wasifu wa waziri wake kwa sababu
asingeweza kumchagua kushika nafasi kubwa
kama hii, wakati vyeti vyake vina mashaka,”
aliongeza.
Alisema kitendo cha kumuweka mtu mwenye
vyeti vya mashaka, kunaweza kusababisha
nchi kuyumba kiuchumi, kuongezeka kwa deni
la taifa, kwa sababu uamuzi wake unatokana
na ufahamu wake.
Alisema kutokana na hali hiyo, uamuzi wa
Serikali wa kuwaondoa mawaziri mizigo
hautafanikiwa kwa sababu waziri huyo
anaweza kuongeza mzigo mwingine kwa nchi.
“Mawaziri mizigo, wanaisababishia Serikali
kuwa na viongozi mizigo, hivyo basi
tunapaswa kuwa makini kwa kupinga
kuongozwa na viongozi mizigo, kwa sababu
wanaweza kutuletea matatizo,” alibainisha.
Akitolea mfano katika kipindi ambacho Waziri
wa Fedha anapaswa kuwa makini na matumizi
ya fedha za Serikali, ni pamoja na kuwepo kwa
mchakato wa uboreshaji wa daftari la wapiga
kura, mchakato wa Bunge maalumu la Katiba,
vitambulisho vya uraia na mambo mengine
ambayo kwa kiasi kikubwa yanahitaji fedha.
Alisema kutokana na hali hiyo, waziri huyo
anapaswa kusimamia matumizi ya fedha katika
shughuli mbalimbali zikiwemo za halmashauri

(iii) Duties and Responsibilities:
 Receives, responds and records all voice calls to the Call Centre
 Receives, responds and records all text messages sent through official sms and
email platform
 Attends and records all complaints from walk-in complainants
 Provides guidance to complainants on the laid-down complaint procedure
 Follows up and closes all lodged complaints
 Prepares individual daily, weekly and monthly reports indicating the status of
each complaint
 Performs any other duties related to the above as may be assigned by the
supervisors

Term of Office: all posts carry a competitive remuneration package as per the approved
salary structure of the TCRA;

Mmoja wa wauzaji wa nguo za mitumba katika soko la Meimoria akiwa amejificha chini ya meza ya kuuzia nguo kukwepa askari polisi pamoja na maofisa wa shirika la viwango Tanzania (TBS) wakati wakifanya operesheni ya kukamata wauzaji wa nguo za ndani. Mwanamke huyo alitoka chini ya meza baada ya kubembelezwa na wenzake hata hivyo wakati askari polisi akimtaka kwenda kupanda gari la polisi mwanamke huyo alikimbilia tena chini ya meza hiyo,askari polisi wakalazimika kumucha.

Askari polisi wakikusanya nguo za ndani katika soko la Meiomoria wakati wa operesheni ya kukamata wauzaji wa nduo hizo zilizopigwa marufuku.
Askari polisi akimsindikiza mwanamke mmoja ambaye jina lake halikufahamika mara moja baada ya kukutwa akiuza nguo za ndani zilizopigwa marufuku katika soko la Meimoria mjini Moshi.

TAMASHA LA SAUTI ZA BUSARA KUANZA KURINDIMA FEBRUARI 13 MJINI NGOME KONGWE,ZANZIBAR.

 Pichani ni Mmoja wa wanamuziki watakaotumbuiza kwenye tamasha hilo,aitwaye Jhiko Man pichani akipiga gitaa lake live ikiwa ni sehemu ya kionjo chake kwa Wanahabari waliofika kwenye mkutano huo uliofanyika mapema leo asubuhi kwenye hoteli ya Southern Sun jijini Dar.

 


Mmoja wa wanamuziki watakaotumbuiza kwenye tamasha la Sauti za Busara,aitwaye Ashimba pichani nae akipiga gitaa lake live ikiwa ni sehemu ya kionjo chake kwa Wanahabari waliofika kwenye mkutano huo uliofanyika mapema leo asubuhi kwenye hoteli ya Southern Sun jijini Dar.

Jumla ya Vikundi 32 vitafanya maonyesho jukwaani kwa asilimia 100 live.Bwa Simai amesema kuwa vikundi hivyo vimechaguliwa kutokana na maombi zaidi ya 560 na vinawakilisha nchi 19,ameongeza kuwa zaidi ya wasanii 200 watafika Zanzibar kufanya maonyesho ya muziki,wasanii hao wanatoka Afrika Mashariki,Afrika Kusini na Magharibi,maeneo ya mto Nile na pia kutoka Puerto Rico.

Kutoka Tanzania,Wasanii watakaotumbuiza kwenye tamasha hilo ni Jhikoman,Ashimba,Swahili Vibes,Hoko Roro,Seven Survivor,Abantu Mandingo,Segere Original na Kazimoto.

SERIKALI YASITISHA UTARATIBU WA KUKODISHA WAFANYAKAZI UNAOFANYWA NA BAADHI YA WAKALA BINAFSI WA HUDUMA ZA AJIRA



TAMKO LA SERIKALI KUHUSU KUSITISHA UTARATIBU WA KUKODISHA WAFANYAKAZI UNAOFANYWA NA BAADHI YA WAKALA BINAFSI WA HUDUMA ZA AJIRA

1. Wizara ya Kazi na Ajira imekua ikipokea malalamiko  toka kwa wadau mbalimbali kuhusu utaratibu wa udalali wa kukodisha wafanyakazi katika makampuni unaofanywa na baadhi ya Wakala Binafsi wa Huduma za Ajira nchini.

2. Wizara imefanya uchunguzi wa kina kuhusu suala hili na kubaini kuwa utaratibu wa kukodisha wafanyakazi unaofanywa na baadhi ya Wakala Binafsi wa Huduma za Ajira ni kinyume cha Sheria ya Huduma za Ajira Na. 9 ya Mwaka 1999 [Sura 243 kama ilivyorejewa Mwaka 2002]. Kwa mujibu wa Kifungu 4 cha Sheria hii, majukumu ya msingi ya Wakala wa Huduma za Ajira ni kuwaandaa na kuwaunganisha Watafuta Kazi na Waajiri kwa kutoa mafunzo na  ushauri elekezi kwa watafuta kazi,  kutafuta fursa za ajira na kutoa taarifa za soko la ajira.  Hivyo, Mawakala hawapaswi kuwa waajiri wa wafanyakazi waliowatafutia kazi kwa niaba ya Waajiri wengine.

3. Aidha, uchunguzi umebaini kwamba  utaratibu huu ni ujanja unaotumiwa na baadhi ya Waajiri na Mawakala kwa lengo la kukwepa kodi na kujipatia faida kwa kukwepa kutoa haki za msingi za wafanyakazi kwa mujibu wa Sheria za Kazi. Baadhi ya makampuni yanayokodisha wafanyakazi yamefanyiwa uhakiki na TRA na kubainika kukwepa kodi ya mapato ya ajira (PAYE) na  na kodi ya mapato ya kampuni kinyume na Kifungu cha 7 cha Sheria ya Kodi ya Mapato ya Mwaka 2004 [Sura 332 kama ilivyorejewa Mwaka 2008].

 


4.Uchunguzi huu umebaini  athari mbalimbali kwa wafanyakazi wanaoajiriwa kwa utaratibu huu. Athari hizo ni pamoja na:
·        Wafanyakazi kukosa haki ya hifadhi ya jamii kama vile likizo ya uzazi na matibabu kinyume na Sheria mbalimbali za Mifuko ya Hifadhi ya Jamii;
·        Uwepo wa ubaguzi katika malipo ya mishahara kwa kazi ya aina moja kinyume na  kifungu cha 7(10) cha Sheria ya Ajira na Mahusiano Kazini Na.6 ya mwaka 2004 ambacho kinamtaka mwajiri kuchukua hatua stahiki kwa kuhakikisha kuwa wafanyakazi bila kujali jinsia zao wanalipwa mishahara linganifu na ya haki kwa kazi yenye uzito na thamani sawa;
·        Kukosa fursa za kujiendeleza kielimu na mafunzo;
·        Kukosekana kwa usalama na uhakika wa ajira ;
·        Wafanyakazi kulipwa mishahara ya kima cha chini kinyume na sekta wanayofanyia kazi.

5. Kwa taarifa hii, Wizara ya Kazi na Ajira imeamua kusitisha mara moja utaratibu wa Mawakala kuwaajiri  wafanyakazi wanaowatafutia kazi.  Aidha, Mawakala na Kampuni husika waliopo katika utaratibu huu kwa sasa wanapaswa kuwahamisha  wafanyakazi waliokodishwa kutoka kwa Wakala kwenda  kwa Kampuni husika. Waajiri na Wakala wanatakiwa kukamilisha zoezi hili ndani ya kipindi cha mwezi mmoja na kuwasilisha taarifa za utekelezaji kwa Katibu Mkuu, Wizara ya Kazi na Ajira kabla au ifikapo tarehe 28/02/2014.

6. Uchunguzi zaidi unaendelea kubaini kama kuna wafanyakazi wa Kigeni wanaohusishwa katika utaratibu wa kukodishwa ili hatua zinazotahili ziweze kuchukuliwa ikiwa ni pamoja na kuwataka waombe vibali vya ajira kwa mujibu wa Sheria ya Uhamiaji Na.7 ya mwaka 1995na Sheria ya Huduma za Ajira Na.9 ya mwaka 1999. Wageni watakao kidhi vigezo wataajiriwa na kampuni walipokodishwa; ambazo kwa wakati huo zitakua ndiyo mwajiri wao.

7. Wizara ya Kazi na Ajira inawaelekeza Wakala wa Huduma za Ajira nchini kwamba, kwa utaratibu wa sasa watapaswa kuwasilisha barua za maombi ya  usajili wa Uwakala kwaKAMISHNA WA KAZI  kwa mujibu wa Sheria ya Huduma za Ajira Na. 9 ya mwaka 1999 [Sura 243 kama ilivyorejewa Mwaka 2002] ili waweze kufanya shughuli za Uwakala wa Huduma za Ajira kisheria. Maombi haya yawasilishwe ndani ya kipindi cha mwezi mmoja tangu kutolewa kwa tangazo hili. Baada ya muda huo Wakala asiye na kibali cha Kamishna wa Kazi hatoruhusiwa kuendesha shuguli za huduma za ajira nchini. Aidha, Mawakala watakaopata leseni ya Kamishna wa Kazi yatakua yakitangazwa ili yatambuliwe na Umma.

8. Nasisitiza, maelekezo haya yatatolewa kwa Makampuni na Wakala  waliohusishwa katika uchunguzi kwa ajili ya utekelezaji.

JE UNAJUA KUWA MTO MSIMBAZI, UKITUMIKA VEMA UTAWEZA KUPUNGUZA FOLENI JIJINI DAR ES SALAAM?


Mto Msimbazi ni mto mkubwa sana ambao unaweza kutumika kwa usafiri, moja ya kupunguza adha ya foleni barabarani ni kuutumia mto msimbazi kwa usafiri.

kuanzia Salender Bridge, Muhimbili, Jangwani hadi Vingunguti, na sehemu nyingine ulipopita.  Wale watengenezaji plan za miji wangeweza kufikiria jinsi ya kuufanya mto huu kuwa kivutia hapa Mkoani Dar es Salaam, kwa kushirikiana na wataalamu wengine.

Kila ninapo kaa na kuuangalia mto huu naona kuna kiasi kikubwa sana cha fedha mkoa kama mkoa na wananchi wake tunakosa, pia ni sehemu nzuri sana kwa kufanyia sehemu za burudani na mandhari nzuri zitakazo weza kuwavutia wawekezaji wa ndani zaidi na nje kuweza kufanya biashara katika maeneo yaliyopita kwa kuweka Hoteli, Migahawa, Nyumba za Kulala wageni, Sehemu za sherehe, Boti za kusafirishia abiria, mandhari nzuri za bustani.
Mimi sio mbunifu wa kuchora, wa kupamba lakini najua wapo wataalamu wanaoweza kutengeza ramani, picha, na jinsi ya kuyatengeneza maji yaweze kuwepo muda wote kwa kiwango kinachotakiwa ili boti ziweze kupita kwa miaka yote bila kuathirika na upungufu wa maji au takataka.  Nikiwa kama mtanzania ninayependa maendeleo ninaiona Tanzania tofauti kidogo na wenzangu kuna vitu vingi tunaweza kuvifanya katika mto huu wa Msimbazi na tukaweza kupata kipato kwa uvuvi, usafiri na mambo mengine mengi yatayobuniwa na kuwekwa pale, pia ni ajira kwa vijana, hapa ndipo pa kupatia ajira vijana wengi.





Nadhani wazo hili litakuwa na mantiki zaidi kama wataalamu wa Wizara husika na wananchi watatumia busara, hekima na utashi walio nao na kugombea mambo yasiyo na tija, tunaweza kwa silimia mia kuutumia mto huu kwa tija, na tusifikirie bonde la mto msimbazi tu kama bonde, tufikirie mto kama mto, maana sasa hivi mto ule hauonekani kwa kuwa umefunikwa na ujenzi wa vijijumba, majumba na kilimo, pia na kuwa sehemu kubwa ya utupaji taka.  Sidhani kama kazi hizi ndizo zinazotakiwa kufanyika katika mto huu.
Kuna wateja wengi sana ambao wanaweza kuutumia mto huu kuanzia mjini hadi vingunguti, kuna mabilioni ya shilingi tunaweza kuyapata kupitia mto huu, ni kiasi cha kubuni cha kufanya tu chenye tija.  Nimetoa mada moja inayosema jinsi ya kuyafuga maji tunaweza kuyafuga kwa kuyaingiza maji ya mvua katika mto huu kwa faida na kuweza kuutumia na kuingiza kipato kwa mkoa mzima.
Mkuu wa Mkoa, Wakuu wa Wilaya, Wabunge, Madiwani, Mameya na Waziri wa Wizara zinazohusika mnaweza kukaa na wataalamu mkapanga la kufanya ili itokee mwisho wa siku kuwe na njia ya usafishaji wa kupitia mto Msimbazi, na msiwaze tu labda kuwe na uwazi wa kutengeneza sehemu ya michezo, tuutumie mto huu kwa tija.  Tusilifanye jambo hili kisiasa, tusiogope wananchi kulalamika kwa sasa, ila mwisho wa siku wataelewa namaanisha nini.  Watanzania tunatakiwa kuwa wabunifu na kuufanyia kazi ubunifu huu kwa manufaa ya nchi na wananchi na mwisho wa siku tufaidi wote.
